15 ° International Forum for the Promotion of Books and Reading , which each year organizes Mempo Giardinelli Foundation in Resistencia, Chaco . But
clear, change change guests and topics and the tables, and add players, say readers, participants say. The Dome of the city provides shelter to almost 2000 people who, for three consecutive days are listening to talk of reading, and participate in workshops and literary gatherings.
This year the theme of the Forum were precisely 15 years. 15 years later and 15 years ago. What happened to us in the country, the outdoors, reading, reading programs, in writing. This year I had to give a presentation, but I was full with my workshop, "Reading and disability." 25 people met two mornings with me to share how to read, how reading to children with disabilities. It was the first time I developed this theme, covering all disabilities and not just hearing and beyond my performance, they will have to evaluate who were there, and I will keep working to multiply these spaces in which we think and think. And may be increasingly Foundations, congresses, meetings or what they like with the capital they prefer, those who realize that if they do not read all, then we are not as free as we think.

One afternoon, also visited the school integration "Start All" where I got a fantastic group of deaf and hard of hearing children who, though they made the effort to read something of mine, were unable to comment on it. But long conversations. A little lip reading, a little with my address and much thanks to a teacher who acted as translator. Because they did not understand me but I do not understand them to them.
Every time I visit a school for deaf and hard of hearing children confirm my thesis, what I'm doing, what I learned. These guys, like many others, not read. They are out, they are exiled from the reading. I asked one and all and the general response was "no." But one that, with the help and effort to read the texts said allowed him to continue studying.
But reading fiction, no. How could they if they do not understand what they read? Then, since we could not talk about literature, I used a little Logogenia. I wrote on the board a couple of "games" of understanding, to see what happened.

What may seem obvious to you, for deaf children, no. Great astonishment of his teachers and parents perplexity. What will happen to these kids if they do not read? How will studying? let fly the questions ... I hope to reach everyone.

And unfortunately this should end this story. For the true wealth of the Forum is in the papers and debates, and I could not be part. Rejuro I swear that every time I try. I get irritated, I get tired. ¿How is it that if I hear perfectly the voices of those who read, can not understand a damn?? Damn neural connections.
So I go to walk around the Forum, visit the river, I stayed in the hotel, go to the center. In the end I'm always the only one who knows where everything in the city and led the group, who have to bring a gift or need some pharmacy or want to try the best chipacitos.

And it ends here. In reality this year wanted to write about the "backstage" of the Forum. All you people do not see. All immensely fun. Bizarre. Curiosities. What do forty writers, journalists, intellectuals, scholars, when they live for four days? But then I said no. That was not serious. That had nothing to do with the Forum, not combined. That might offend someone. The Forum as we share with the people, not what happens behind closed doors.
Then I can not write, for example, two very well known writers of books for boys, for being late to the airport and having to eat an insufferable queue (because they are encouraged to check-in from home!) at the airport Corrientes discovered that ... His bags had not traveled with them! I can not say that their last names begin with V and M, or that they had to bank an entire day and a morning with the same clothes but there are witnesses who say they went out to buy deodorant. I was already organizing a cow so they could replace a shirt, trousers, when they finally reached the blessed bags. I can not tell that
lunches and dinners, always in fantastic places, are pure laughter, hilarious groups that are armed and more silent, and I always run to find a place in the former.

And for the first time I read something of yours (because I admit it: I had some prejudice) and loved it. Or that journalists get together among themselves and sometimes feel that those who do approach them sleeve note. And to me that makes me somewhat nostalgic, and then I like a fool, thinking back a bit and my times of day, and I find great people.
