Before posting anything I would like to explain why I chose this title for my blog.
panacea panacea Latin , and this in turn from Greek πανάκεια ("pan" means all and "akos" remedy) is the word that gives the drug capable of curing various enfermededades. So when we speak of the universal panacea we refer to the remedy sought by ancient alchemists to cure all diseases. But if we go back to Greek mythology, Panacea was a minor goddess, daughter of Asclepius (god of medicine). Along with her sisters Yaso (healing), Hygieia, Egle and Access, helped his father to heal and do drugs, being Panacea representation of universal healing through plants. He also had four brothers men, two of them Podalirius and Machaon. Today we can find also the word Panacea in Hippocratic Oath, a document closely related to the world of medicine and was written by Hippocrates , meditate and priest, in the year 460 BC C. This text is a statement by establishing the obligations of the sick and the rights of these. Although today there are still professional before starting to practice medicine made this oath in most cases has been replaced by other existing texts, such as 1948 Geneva Declaration .
Searching for the Panacea intended as an information space in terms of health, medicine and welfare. Surely here we discover the universal panacea , but being informed can we provide better quality of life.
